As well as general dentistry treatments, we offer a variety of cosmetic dental treatments such as teeth whitening, implants and veneers. In addition, we also offer some of the most modern orthodontic treatments, including Invisalign braces.

I recently had a bone augmentation procedure at Botanics Dental Care. Although this could not be described as a joyful experience, it was necessary, and I was made very comfortable and reassured throughout, by the team. As frequently is the case, it was also not as bad as I had imagined. I was given a full explanation of what would be done and kept informed during the procedure. Colin Gardner

Principal Dentist
Principal dentist Colin Gardner BDS, GDC reg no 63929, graduated from Dundee University Dental Hospital and School in 1988 . Since that time he has worked almost exclusively in Glasgow’s West End. Colin has a special interest in Implant therapy and cosmetic Dentistry. It is extremely important to Colin that every patient is fully informed of their options before they make a decision as to which treatment to have carried out, so don’t be surprised if your consultation is a little longer than you are used to! Use this time to tell him what YOU would like done.

Dental Hygienist
Dental hygienists are specifically trained to professionally clean the teeth and remove hard plaque and staining that forms between visits. Colette will also help prevent gum disease, which affects a huge proportion of the population and, if left unattended, is the biggest single cause of tooth loss. They provide an invaluable preventative service to help ensure your teeth and gums remain strong and healthy for life.

Head Nurse & Dental Care Co-Ordinator
Qualified dental nurse Tara GDC reg no 208159 (UK) completed her Dental Nurse training at Glasgow Dental Hospital and qualified with merit in November 2010. Tara has been working as a Dental Nurse since 2006 and has experience working in Glasgow and Edinburgh and has been at Botanics since 2009. Talking to patients and explaining treatments is a big part of what Tara does at the practice. Tara has a particular interest in Implant and oral surgery work. In the practice she is our first aider as well as being responsible for the junior Dental Nurses.

Qualified Dental Nurse
Qualified Dental Nurse Tanzeela Ahsan, GDC Registration No. 259956 completed her Dental Nurse training in West College Scotland and qualified in 2015. Tanzeela is a newly qualified Dental Nurse who is enthusiastic about her work and constantly seeks opportunities to develop her skill set and knowledge. Tanzeela is very interested in numerous branches of Dentistry and is particularly interested in learning more about Dental Implants.
Katrina Archer

Qualified Dental Nurse
Qualified Dental Nurse Katrina Archer, GDC registration No. 203474, is an experienced Dental Nurse who completed her qualification in Glasgow in 2008. Katrina has experience in a variety of different procedures including crown and bridge work, orthodontics and restorations, she is always keen to learn and add to her knowledge. Katrina uses her experience and her caring and calm attitude to make our patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their appointments, whilst support the Dentist, hygienist and Dental Therapist in their day to day procedures. Katrina is currently learning additional skills in oral surgery and Dental implant nursing.
