We’ve put the following measures in place to ensure the safety of our staff & patients during the covid19 pandemic.

- New Standard Operating Procedure which we review regularly in line with evolving government guidelines.
- Full training for all staff on new processes
- Social distancing measures for every patient journey
- Maintaining sufficient stock levels of certified PPE
- Enhanced cross infection control measures for aerosol generating dental procedure (AGPs)

Although we have now resumed routine dentistry, we are still catching up from when they were closed during the 1st national lock-down & have a backlog of incomplete treatments. Due to this, we are still prioritising our existing registered patients who may need urgent care, who may be at higher risk of oral disease and those with outstanding treatment needs.
The reason for the long waits is not just because of the backlog, but also because there’s a lot more disinfection of surgeries required after each treatment. Sometimes, we are having to wait anything up to an hour before we can have another patient in the dental chair.

Although we are still taking new private patients, we have currently suspended taking on new NHS patients. Some patients might find that a treatment is available quicker privately than it is on the NHS. As with medical care, this is often because the queue for NHS treatment is longer.
