    Great service . Horrible toothache . Phoned at 9 a.m., appointment at 10.30 a.m, Home by 11a.m with problem solved. Well, lost a wisdom tooth in the process ( a useless thing anyway), but the treatment was great, especially considering I have a degree of dental phobia! Relieved to know that I won't have another miserable pain-filled day, anyway.

Meet the team

  • Dr Owen Walls BDS MFDS RCPS(glas)

    Dr Walls graduated from Glasgow University in the 2000 and has become a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow . Following this, he gained experience by practicing in Glasgow, Ireland and Australia. He has also obtained a MJDF post-graduate diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons. Owen has worked at our Govan clinic since 2011.

  • Dr Mhairi-Claire Hinds BDS MFDS RCPS(glas)

    Dr Hinds graduated from Glasgow Dental Hospital & University in 2011 a and has become a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow. Afterwards she worked in Dunfermline gaining a wide variety of experience before joining Govan Dental Care in 2012. She is interested in all aspects of dentistry but particularly enjoys treating children and anxious patients. Mhairi-Claire receives many referrals from other dental clinics in Glasgow to treat their nervous patients with sedation.

  • Dr Atir Akram BDS MFDS RCPS(glas)

    DrAtir Akram graduated from Glasgow University in 2008. He worked in various departments at the Glasgow Dental Hospital -mainly in the field of oral surgery. For the next 6 years he has become a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow and worked in Hamilton and in the southside of Glasgow. He has a special interest on Implantology and has extensively studied this in Cambridge. Atir joined 1smile in 2015 and has been placing implants since then. Atir also studied short term orthodontics and is registered with Quick Straight Teeth in order to provide cosmetic braces for his patients. He is a fan of sports and fitness, regularly attending the gym and playing squash in and around Glasgow.

  • Dr Rabia Iqbal BDS

    Dr Rabiah Iqbal graduated from Dundee University in 2011. She works in both our City Centre and Govan clinics and joined the team in 2013. Rabiah provides a wide range of NHS and private services and has recently completed further training to provide facial aesthetics including wrinkle reduction and facial fillers.

  • Dr Patrick Lambert BDS

    Dr Lambert graduated from Glasgow Dental School & University in 2010 and joined Govan Dental Care in 2013. While he enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, he has particular interest in oral surgery. Patrick receives referrals from many dental practices across Glasgow for various types of oral surgery.

  • Sharon Mcquade Receptionist

    Sharon has many years experience working as a receptionist within a dental practice environment. She joined the team at Govan Dental Care in 2015 and aside from her wealth of experience has proved very popular with our patients.

  • Lynsey Watson (Dental Nurse)

    Lynsey started dental nursing 2013 and recently gained her national diploma in Dental nursing. She is based in our Govan Practice and would like to further her career by gaining a post qualification in Childsmile.

  • Leoni Hanlon (Dental Nurse)

    Leoni started dental nursing in 2011 and qualified in August 2014 gaining her SQA L3 Dental Nursing & VRQ L3 Dental Nursing. Leoni assists with surgical and orthodontic treatment. In future she would like to gain her Radiology Qualification

  • Ross Mc Sharry Davidson (Dental Nurse )

    Ross is based at our Govan Dental Care and works occasionally in the city centre clinic. He gained his SQA L3 Dental Nursing & PDA Dental Nursing SQA in 2014.

  • Natalie Morrissey (Dental Nurse)

    Started working as a dental nurse in 2005 and gained her qualification in 2007. She then took some time out to have her family and started in our Govan practice in 2013. Natalie is also our sedation nurse and also covers reception.

  • Jamielee Dunlop (Dental Nurse)

    Jamie-Lee is our trainee dental nurse working towards SQA L3 Dental Nursing & VRQ L3 Dental Nursing.

  • Tahira Ahmad Practice Manager

    Tahira is the Area Manager for the 1Smile clinics in Glasgow. She has 13 years of experience in dental management, dental nursing and reception.
