A Thank You from DentaltownUK
With the imminent launch of DentaltownUK, all of us on the team would like to offer a huge thank you to all of those involved!
The official release has been a long time coming and we’ve all been working with our engines at full power to make sure DentaltownUK is everything we hope it will be.
As you may be aware, DentaltownUK came about through DefactoDentists.com and their affiliation with the biggest dentistry website in the world, Dentaltown. Since October, teams on both sides of the Atlantic have been busying themselves, thinking, arranging, designing, writing and preparing for our 6th of March launch. So, of course we’d like to thank them first.
We think we have created a magazine that offers a fresh look at the dental industry. From implants to industry news to a whole lifestyle section, we want our readers to enjoy exciting content about life inside and outside of the clinic. With articles from our brilliant honorary editorial team, you’re likely to see a name you recognise.
Speaking of our editorial team, we’d like to offer a thank you to all of them!

Implantology, our student editor Kishan Sheth and our head editor Mike Gow BDS (Gla) MFDS RCPS (Gla) MSc Hyp (Lon) PGCert (Edin), thank you for all the effort and hard work you’ve put in to making this magazine a reality.
We have incorporated Dentaltown classics like ‘Through the Keyhole” with our own ideas. We are proud to include industry news and features on dentistry, but also a lifestyle section. This section provides a work life balance that we think everyone needs. In this section we will keep you updated on fashion, food, drink and even cars. As well as how to deal with stress at work, an issue we know is prevalent in dentistry. Our inaugural issue is currently going our to over 20,000 subscribers. We’re jumping into the deep and looking forward to seeing our audience grow!
Founder of Dentaltown, Howard Farran is “beyond thrilled” about the extension of his company to the UK and magazine editor Dr Mike Gow is positive about the future of DentaltownUK:
“The Dentaltown magazine has a reach of around 300,000 dentists worldwide. With the new Dentaltownuk emagazine comes an opportunity to present international cases and concepts from Dentaltown alongside those from the UK. We have a fantastic board of ‘Honorary Editors’ who will work to ensure that we are delivering an emagazine that you will find educational and entertaining.”
“We are particularly excited about the lifestyle section which is being headed up by ‘The Singing Dentist’ Milad Shadrood. There are growing numbers of dentists coming together on social media, sharing common interests and passions of their ‘non dental’ activities.”
“We’re looking forward to everyone receiving the magazine and giving us feedback. Everyone on the team has worked incredibly hard.”
Last but by no means least, we’d like to thank all of you who have subscribed so far! We’re sure you’re going to be happy with that decision!
