What is the best electric toothbrush?
Your are going to spend some hard earned money on a good quality toothbrush and you want to make sure that you are buying the right one for you. So which one do you buy?
Electric toothbrushes now have a variety of woweee technology built in to them. Sometimes it is better to simply brush your teeth well, rather than having a fancy bluetooth connection that shows you what you have in your fridge.
Speed is really important, as is the replacement head on your toothbrush. Firstly speed. The difference between electric toothbrushes and sonic toothbrushes is the speed at which the head rotates/vibrates. Electric toothbrushes are generally 10 times faster than manually brushing your teeth. Sonic toothbrushes are generally 20 times faster than brushing manually. In short, brushing your teeth for 2 minutes, twice a day with a sonic toothbrush will brush twice as much as an electronic brush.
The brush heads are also very important in terms of how they rotate (or brush) and the shape of the brush head. In short, you want your brush to be able to reach upper left for 30 seconds, upper right for 30 seconds, lower left for 30 seconds and finally lower right for 30 seconds. The number of brush strokes you get in each 30 second block depends on the speed of your brush. Typically, the more you spend, the faster your brush will be.
Keep smiling…it’s what makes the world a happier place!
